After over 10 years of being a purely software company, Ableton have bitten the bullet and announced their first hardware controller: Ableton Push.
Push is (obviously) the most Ableton-friendly controller to date, with the stated aim to be able to “make a song from scratch” using just the controller. The hardware features an awesome 64 multicolour pads for either launching scenes, step sequencing or even performing music, with auto-quantize and auto-harmony features making production of musical phrases easy for anyone.
Ableton Push has been built by Akai, meaning it’ll be as rugged as any MPC out there.
We reckon the Push controller will be priced at around £399 and, according to Ableton, is “coming soon”.
We’re excited – are you?
