We knew that a new Moog synth was coming, but now we know what it is: the Moog Sub Phatty. Behold it’s analog wonder:
With a US retail price of $1,099, we reckon the Sub Phatty will sell for around £899 in the UK – slightly less than the Little Phatty and making it the cheapest way to get your hands on a Moog keyboard synth to date.
The key innovation is “multidrive”, what sounds like it might be a tube warmth / grit generator but this synth is by no means a one-trick pony: 31 knobs on the front panel mean you’ll have masses of hands-on control.
