ENDED Share the #puppylove – win music gear!

#puppylove
It’s that time of year again: romance is in the air, we’re all worrying about what to buy our other halves that won’t break the bank (or just freak them out), and retailers are shamelessly jumping on the bandwagon to promote their own interests.

Bearing in mind the latter, we’ve got a competition for y’all…

Starting on February 14th, for one week anyone either signing up to our mailing list, posting our promotional Tweet or commenting on this blog post will be in with a chance of winning one of 4 sumptuous and undeniably romantic prizes worth over £700…

There are three ways to enter (do them all to triple your chances!)…

1 – Post the following tweet:

2 – Sign up for our mailing list:

To be in with a chance of winning, enter your email address below...

3 – Tell us how much you love Red Dog Music by leaving us a comment on this blog post (scroll down)!

That’s all you have to do. Although, you should probably also ‘like’ the Hofner, Focusrite, Boss UK and Orange Amps Facebook pages. It would be rude not to, y’know?

Terms & Conditions: Winners will be selected at random at 5pm on Friday 21st February. A random number generator will be used to select the prize, the method of entering and then the winner. This competition is open to UK residents only. Winners will be notified by Facebook, Twitter or email.

The following two tabs change content below.

Simply no other musical instrument retailers in Edinburgh (and now london) that do it like Red Dog music. With everything to choose from, Acoustic Guitars, Electric Guitars, Studio Equipment ( for beginners to experts ), Microphones and stands, Leads and cables, Guitar pedals, Electronic Drum Kits, PA systems, Digital mixing desks, an Array of digital pianos, and synthesisers, and team of friendly and knowledgeable experts in store. You can be shown in the right direction for your needs, or simply just chat to them about the shoes they are wearing or their new hair cut. If your a first time buyer or a hardened musician or engineer, you know you'll get the right advice and the right price from Red Dog!!

  2. Paul Johnston says:

You are the mutts nuts when it comes to instruments!

  3. Red Dog London for the win!

  4. Sarah Robertson says:

Red Dog Music is by far one of the best music stores going. High quality equipment with lovely staff always willing to help, why would you want to go anywhere else?

  5. Martin Beer says:

I like Red Dog. It's reassuring that many of the staff are faces I see gigging around town, and I've never felt I'm being overly sold at when I go in.

  6. Paulie Ddt says:

    Like a ship without a sea…

  11. I love red dog more than I value my own life.

  12. That is an awful guitar James O'Brien

  13. You Dogs!!! I love you, funny email, funny staff, and i got my beloved RME babyface from these dogs.

  14. Keith Ellis says:

I love red dog, but I don't love the dent they make in my finances. :O)

  15. Seán Alan Roberto Frost says:

This is possibly the best competition I've seen red dog do!

  16. Bought my Ableton Launchpad and Oscar Schmidt electro-classical guitar from you guys – very knowledgeable staff, and great service.

  17. Robert Moles says:

Great gear shop that actually cares about musos.

  18. Anonymous says:

My dearest Red Dog. If only it were possible to articulate the weight of emotion I feel for you canine branded enterprise. Whenever I lay eyes on the visage of the hallowed rouge pooch that adorns your treasured electronic communiqués, a storm front of joy forges through my loins and eviscerates all negativity in its wake. I am defenceless against the charms of your musings, your generous offers and the quality of your sumptuous wares. Fight it as I might, I can only withstand but a few minutes perusing your website before I either procure a product, or else soil my undergarments with a shudder of immaculately frightful glee. I have often contemplated packaging the excretions of these bodily passions with the same care that you dutifully accord to the items that I have purchased, and sending them to you as a token of my affections. Alas, I am callow and weary in my repose. nevertheless, though I do not expect my feelings to be reciprocated, love you Red Dog, with all my aching heart.

  19. Conor Carr says:

Ok. Red dog music. I dont go to many music shops. They are often a little intimidating. Just after christmas i went to get a fuzz pedal with some money left by a relative. These guys honestly helped a lot. Helping me find a great deal and didn't make me feel crap about being broke, rather actually providing the pedal to suit my finances. Don't go to any other music shop in Edinburgh. The stock is great, with a awe inspiring selection, but the staff would be why i would return. Cheers, and emails are always a laugh.

  20. Matt Shier says:

Dang, a BOSS RC-3 Looper…. I'd happily make that my partner. They say mimicking is the sincerest form of flattery. .. if that's true then love is all a loop pedal can give!

  21. Derek Johnstone Macrae says:

I used to live above the old St.Mary's street shop, good to still see some of the old muckers, we thought Edinburgh's favorite music shop was done in a few years ago, but it was rescued, and the staff made the shop go from strength to strength, all credit to that goes to the owner and the shop staff, you rescued the best shop in the biz, I get a warm fuzzy feeling when entering the musical grotto that is Red Dog, there is no hard sell, and the staff are informative and mega friendly, and now, the brand has spread its wings, have a great year Red Dog, all the best, Deek xd

  22. Dear Red Dog although I live in Glasgow I often pop in when I am in Edinburgh especially when I am performing at the fringe. I still cannot play that piano I got from you on nine months interest free credit because I cant stop playing all of the guitars I have bought as well.

  23. Simona HelloStranger Strano says:

I have no doubt about it: RedDog Music is my favourite place in Edinburgh! EVER. And "FRIENDLY" is just a word, they are EVEN better than that 🙂

  24. Chris Taylor says:

Red Dog has been my first stop for studio gear (including my beloved sE Gemini III) at the best prices for a couple of years now. The only problem is there are too many nice things and I cannot own them all.

  25. Matthew Jones says:

Red Dog is the one, recommended by so many friends and i'm so glad i looked you guys up, you're basically my local music store (even if you are miles and miles away)

  26. James O'Brien says:

Well Brandon I was going to give it you as a present if I won it but if you're gonna be all ungrateful I won't bother! Btw when we going for beers?

  27. John Cully says:

    Red are Roses
    Green is a Frog
    they're giving away prizes…
    who?.. them are Red Dog!

  28. Aidan Clark says:

I love it so much I applied for a job there. Sadly it came to naught, but it's still my favourite shop.

  29. What ever I have needed, and at the time I needed it, Red Dog have always delivered. Professional advice and expertise that I have come to rely on. Red Dog are my first choice in all my 'gear' needs!

  30. Philip O'Neill says:

I Love Red Dog Music because they are a friendly independent shop, the staff are helpful, incite full with good product knowledge and sound advice.

  31. Ian Rae says:

Bought a recording King Tricone from you a couple of months ago . Truly fabulous guitar and even fabulouser sales support, advice and so forth from you. Also possibly the heaviest guitar I have ever played. Which is why I need to win the Shorty – it's wee, free, (in a good way) and not buying one would allow payment of three chiropracter sessions. (See Recording King above).

  32. Jon A Than says:

Oh Red Dog, do you remember that night you took me out on the tiles in Edinburgh? How we laughed in Mood, how we cavorted in Gaia (or whatever the hell it's called today), how we sweated in Opium and how we tickled in Priscilla's! The moonlight caught your eyes, and your bottom caught my attention.

HOWEVER, you never called, even when I had to take that pregnancy test, so you owe me one audio interface. It's scarlet like your DECEIT.

    xoxoxox

  33. They say Love is Blind…………It must be cos I can't see past you guys at RED DOG MUSIC
    🙂

  34. Eliot Short says:

    I'll always choose you… 😉

  35. Expand your horizons into Wales.
Dwy'n hoffi iawn Y Cig Coch.

  36. Patrick Swift BA Honours says:

I love Red Dog Music more than I love my girlfriend!

  37. Simon Bray says:

I love Red Dog Music despite not yet purchasing anything from them. I love them because of the beautifully worded explanation as to why they don't stock Beats By Dre headphones which so eloquently put my thoughts as to why I could never recommend them to anyone into words. Rarely do you find a business willing to sacrifice their share of a lucrative market for a matter of principal. For that alone, they are loved.

Then, of course, there's always this here competition to win free stuff, I love anyone who might give me free guitar stuff. I love them even more if I actually win the free guitar stuff.

  38. I love Red Dog. I also desperately need a new Audio Interface BADLY. Mines is dead.

  39. Jordan Mcmanus says:

    Roses are red
but Red Dog I'd be blue
if you weren't there for music gear
    all the year through…

    Happy Valentines Day

  58. George Mack says:

I was in your Edinburgh store on valentines day sharing my love of all things shynthesizer with Andy. I've sort of pre-ordered a Theremin, Andy's got we awaiting with baited breath the arrival of the new Aria synth from Roland and I'm still tweaking the MS20-MINI that I got from you, I haven't reached the end of possibilities with that Korg as of yet. Now that Hofner shorty would be well useful as I'm trucking round the country thrashing motorways all over the place, mmmm, if only!

  59. Dean Mortiboy Jnr says:

Hey Red Dog, you guys have an amazing array of Musical equiptment on show and knowing you'd be willing to give away such a beautiful piece of equiptment is beyond me. Keep up the good work guys and when I am older (only recently turned 16.) I want to become a musician or a musical photographer and having the oppurtunity to win such a beautiful piece of machinery like the Hofner Shorty and the Orange amp and pedal aswell would hopefully put me on the radar, thank you guys for sharing this!

Love is not the word to describe the emotion I feel for Red Dog Music. I adore, i cherish you. Two of my most favourite things – the romantic, sultry colour of red and the soft, loyal dog. Nothing compares.

  84. Jake Betts says:

I love red dog because 'red dog' is also a brand of hot dogs, so you kind of get twice the dogs for half the effort. It's pretty cool how they're giving this stuff away, I just wish they would give some hot dogs away too. Well done here guys, great work! Woo hoo!

  85. Red Dog is the dog's bollocks!

  86. Debbi Ruskin says:

  88. Paul Lacey says:

Love is a strong word, but you're certainly welcome to some Bro Hugs next time I'm in the shop

  89. Red Dog, be a doll and grant me that sweet audio interface. I would also quite happily have the amp instead. The guitar on the other hand is pretty hideous. Unlike you, you scraggly love hound.

  90. Callum Saville says:

you guys at red dog are awesome. I couldnt reccomend you enough.

  91. Lacey Sheman says:

You're my bestesht frens in da hole wiiiide worl…

Red dog music is the greatest thing in the world! Awesome music gear

  98. Fraser Macdermid says:

My love for Red Dog is like a red red Boss RC-3 Looper pedal. Your friendly nature, in store workshops and great stock are great but it's your refusal to stock Beats by Dre that made my love blossom to such an extent that I'd likely be placed on a register if it were to be any greater.

  99. Martin Dunn says:

Red Dog are the Mutts Nuts 😉 , Love ya !

  100. Graeme Henderson says:

I love Red Dog so much I'm glad I don't have a joint bank account with my girlfriend.

  101. David Paul says:

Any shop where the blog raves about Epiphone Dots, has an enormous guitar in the shop and where when you visit they ask you how you are getting on with the pedal you bought last time you were in (and remembers what kind and make it was)……… That will do me!

  102. Lucas Manning says:

great stuff Red Dog , keep it up!

  103. My favourite part about going to red dog is not only the selection of stuff they have (including my most wanted orange amps), but the staff that are willing to help you.

  104. As a long time record producer i knowthe value of teaching an old dog new tricks. Red Dog helps keep my sound fresh and up to date. I love their honest appraisals, nothing is worse than buying gear that doesnt do what you need. And their prices and offers can't be beaten. Yes very happy to say I love Red Dog. Woof!

  105. Will Olenski says:

Bought my first microphone from red dog 7 years ago for my 15th birthday and have used it none stop since. Thanks for the great gear guys
