Introducing UAD-2 Live Rack
Universal Audio have announced UAD-2 Live Rack, UA’s new 16 channel MADI effects processor that brings the brilliance of UAD plugins and processing power to the live stage; right out of the box, in real time, at front of house. With Live Rack’s powerful Realtime UAD QUAD Core Processing, all those fantastic UA analogue emulations and UA plugin library can now find a home in your live mix straight from a compact 1U unit.
The series comprises of two versions: Core and Ultimate, which both come with the no latency pitch correction Antares Auto-Tune Realtime plugin. To see the difference in the plugin bundles of Core and Ultimate, see the list below.
The Live Rack application lets you easily take advantage of intuitive features such as drag and drop, copy and paste, keyboard navigation, plug-in zoom, and the ability to store and recall channel strip presets and/or complete setup configuration Snapshots. Designed for seamless operation in a live setting, the Live Rack app features large text and GUI elements making it easy to quickly tweak parameters.
The Live Rack app also features MIDI snapshot recall capabilities as well as networked software integration with select Soundcraft Vi consoles.
UAD-2 Live Rack also includes useful fail-safe features, a real life-saver: Redundant internal power supplies ensure that your Live Rack continues to process audio if one power supply fails. If the Live Rack application or computer fails, or its Thunderbolt cable is disconnected, UAD-2 Live Rack will still process audio with the last known plug-in state intact.
If you need to, you can also connect up to four UAD-2 Live Rack units for 64 channels of MADI signal processing.
