Drake Music Scotland: Technophonia

Drake Music Scotland takes centre stage as part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad with Technophonia, a new work by Oliver Searle, specially commissioned for three young Drake Music Scotland soloists and pupils from the City of Edinburgh Music School.

Part of the New Music 20×12 programme initiated by PRS for Music Foundation, the work explores the creative potential of innovative music technologies – Soundbeam, Brainfingers and Skoog – within an inclusive ensemble of orchestral and electronic instruments.

The evening’s programme also showcases performances by other young musicians in Drake Music Scotland’s 15th anniversary year of supporting participants of all ages and with a wide range of disabilities to play, perform and compose music. Read their BBC News Article here.
