Originals vs covers: Raining Blood

Having alluded to my fanboy admiration for Tori Amos in the Running up That Hill installment of ‘Originals vs covers’, I suppose it comes as no surprise that she gets one of her own. To that end, we give you our originals vs covers episode for this week: Raining Blood.
Also, it gives us the chance to show that we do appreciate metal here at Red Dog Towers, following some ‘interesting debate’ after a recent originals vs covers episode!

Kerry Amos, or Tori King?
The Slayer classic from the 1986 album ‘Reign In Blood’ was to become one of their live set regulars, and a fan favourite.
Raining Blood was covered by Tori Amos for her 2001 covers album Strange Little Girls after a suggestion by Justin Meldal-Johnsen that she should try some metal. Kerry King didn’t recognise his own song at first, but did send her some Slayer T-shirts.
