Win a recording session at AIR with Focusrite!
This year, Focusrite turn 25 as a company and, to celebrate, they’re giving YOU the chance to win a trip for your band to London for a recording session at AIR studios! And, as if that wasn’t enough, they’ve even thrown in the multi award-winning Guy Massey to produce!
The prize – for you and up to three bandmates – includes domestic flights to London, transfers, hotel, recording, mixing and mastering of your track, with a bit of spending money thrown in for good measure.
AIR studios began 1969 when George Martin decided to set up an independent studio in London, which became hugely successful. In 1991, AIR moved to a new facility in Hampstead, and continues to be one of the top recording studios on the planet.
The centrepiece of AIR Studio 1 is the custom 72-channel Neve/Focusrite desk. While Focusrite celebrates its 25th birthday as a company, it celebrates is 29th year as a brand. Focusrite was formed by Rupert Neve in 1985, and was very quickly commissioned by George Martin to extend the Neve consoles at AIR Studios.
From those early modules and modifications, Focusrite went on to develop the Forte console and the Studio console, two of the most highly regarded consoles ever made.
That heritage and commitment to quality audio still drives Focusrite product development today, seemingly alongside a philosophy that lets every studio – from bedroom to exotic island – put the Focusrite Marque in the signal chain.
