Spectraflex cables now in stock!
I’ll keep this one short and sweet: Spectraflex cables are now in stock!
You may have worked that out from the title of the article. There’s not much more to say than that really, is there? Well probably, as Spectraflex is a brand that doesn’t really seem to have a big footprint in the UK, but hopefully we can help change that…
Why Spectraflex cables?
Why indeed, it’s certainly not very good for us from a business point of view. Unless you lose your cables regularly. I can’t remember how long it’s been since I got my first Spectraflex cable, but looking back over my ‘where I was when’ timeline, it’s been more than ten years since I plugged my Epiphone dot into my fledging pedal board with one.
Since then, I’ve added a second to go from their to my amp, and they’re still going strong, without a snap, crackle or pop.
And they look exceptionally cool while they do it. Well, I think so anyway. Not that the braided cable is just about looking sweet, it also keeps things nicely tangle-free, or at least very easy to unwind after a few days in the pocket of your gig bag!
But I’m not the only one, there are plenty of great reviews out there all saying the same sorts of things, the sound great, and they last for ages. And should you find you get the end of one caught in a slamming car door for example, you won’t find moulded ends on these Spectraflex Vintage Series cables, so you can take it apart, fix it, and put it back together.
When you’re playing and gigging, you just want things to work, and mine have been curled up, uncurled, trodden on, had amps rested on them and just kept on going.
If only I could do the same…
